Not all animals that come to the farm are horses.

Adopting an animal from the Farm

HarveyThe first step in adopting an animal from us is to fill out a pre-adoption application and come for a tour of the Farm. General Farm tours are done every Sunday at 2:30pm. We will not adopt you an animal sight unseen. We want to make sure it’s a good match for both you and the animal.

Adoptions are done at the discretion of the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors, with the final deciding factor being that the animal has "clicked" with the humans that want to adopt him or her. Click to download pre-adoption application

Animals Available for Adoption
  • Yavi - looks like a Maine Coon mix, that is very friendly, talkative, loves people and attention. He does not like other cats. Yavi has been neutered, treated for fleas, earmites and worms. He has tested negative for both Felv and FIV, and has had his rabies, distemper, and feline leuk vaccines (the last two need to be boostered around 7/10).
  • 2 bunnies are presently available for adoption.

Retired/Life Time Care Animals
Available for Sponsorships and in some instances Co-ownerships. These animals will live out their lives at our Farm. Any help you can give us sponsoring their care on an on-going basis is greatly appreciated.

  • Bart is a 7 year old Malucan Cockatoo. He has now become very socialized and needs lots of love and attention and will not be up for adoption at this time. When the very perfect adopter and home comes about, that can help stimulate Barts inteligents and provide lots of socialization, at that time he may be available to be adopted by that special human and home. This type of parrot may live up to 80 years old. Bart loves showing off and doing tricks.

Bart came to Live and Let Live Farm Rescue when they were summoned to help a woman that had just been found deceased with some animals in her home and no family that could take them.

Our Other Friends

This beautiful, young 10 month old kitten is Tripod, renamed Lucy by her adoptive parents.

Tripod "Lucy" is one of the animals Live and Let Live Farm rescued from Kentucky to save her life. Tripod needed costly surgery to have her leg removed in order to save her life shortly before being transported to N.H.. Our great and caring volunteer Kate, Lisa out of Kentucky along with Teresa, Janice, Jill and Melissa
all worked together to spread the word and bring Tripod and 17 other dogs, kittens and puppies safely home here to New Hampshire and into great adoptive homes.

Missing: Keiba and Ginger - Missing as of November 25th, 2006

PLEASE HELP.....Keiba and Ginger have been missing from their home in North Berwick, Maine since 11/25/06. Keiba is a 3 ½ year old, large neutered male, all black German Shepherd. His sister Ginger is a young 3 year old, female and looks like a typical black, tan and silver shepherd.

The dogs have never strayed from home before. They are both very friendly and a bit shy. Unfortunately neither dog is micro-chipped or was wearing a collar.

These dogs are part of our family and we are truly devastated. Please call Amber if you have any information at 479-595-2727, or Deb at 207-676-9649 or the North Berwick, Maine police.
