Sponsorship Program

Some animals will need life time care at our farm, so they need ongoing sponsorships. Other animals that are obtained from difficult circumstances just need sponsorship help through their rehabilitation and recovery program before they are adopted. If you pick a horse to sponsor on a monthly basis, you'll receive a photo of, and get updated information on it.

If you live close by, you may enjoy seeing your sponsored animal in its recovery. If you are an advanced animal professional or horse person, you may be able to help during the training and rehabilitation process. If and when desirable, sponsors will have first option of co-owning or adopting the animal, whichever may occur. Sponsors may visit at any pre-arranged and reasonable time. Other sponsorship opportunities exist at Live and Let Live Farm. Sponsor a Run In - $1000 per year. Sponsor a stall - $600 per year. Corral - $500 per year. Round Pen - $300 per year. Large Riding Ring - $400 per year. Sponsor Building of Indoor Rehabilitation Ring - $1,000/per year. Any donation of any amount is always appreciated.

Foster Program
If you are sponsoring or co-owning a horse, and would like to adopt, we offer a Foster Program. Under the Foster Program, you can take the horse home for a trial period of thirty days, before you commit to the adoption. The horse still belongs to Live and Let Live Farm, but you provide for all medical, dental, farrier and feed needs. This way you can make sure that it's a great match under everyday circumstances.

Foster Pasture
We offer a Foster Pasture program for people that aren't looking to adopt, but have extra pasture space during the summer. Or maybe you need a companion horse just for a short time until you find the horse you are looking for. The horse or pony still belongs to Live and Let Live Farm, but you provide for it's care under a specific time period. At the end of that time, the horse returns to the Farm.

Co-Ownership Program
Volunteers at the ring
  • Co-own a horse for just $95 a month (1 visit a week) or $125 a month (2 visits a week)
  • Co-own a pony for $65 per month (1 visit per week) or $95 per month (2 visits a week)

Co-ownership gives basic ownership of a horse/pony with 1 or 2 planned day(s) per week. Ideal for the weekend enthusiast who doesn't have the time, money or resources for total ownership. This is perfect for the horseperson that wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of real life and spend just a few hours on a trail ride, or working in a relaxing farm atmosphere. You must commit to specific days of the week to co-own.

Co-owners must be at a level of horsemanship or general knowledge of horses in which they can independently be capable of handling their horses or ponies without assistance. If an individual is interested in the program, but is not yet ready for it, you can volunteer at the Farm, and we will work with you, sharing general knowledge and horsemanship until you feel confident to be independent. Both equipment and horse/pony are provided, so good shoes, and riding helmets are your only other financial obligation.

Group Sponsorship Program

Your group can sponsor an animal friend at Live and Let Live Farm. For each person's weekly donation of 50 cents to $1.00, your group can help feed and nurture a horse or pony at the Farm. The money will be used to provide food, veterinary visits, and farrier visits to your sponsored horse or pony. People will learn that their donations, no matter what size, will impact an animal's life. For your sponsorship, your group will receive a photo and biography of your animal friend, and will be listed on the Farm's website. Your group can also come for a field trip, and visit your animal friend and learn respect, compassion and caring for animals.

  • Jessica and friends of Merrimack Valley Middle School - are raising money to sponsor and help care for horses
  • ECoast Sales Solutions, Dover - the employees have pooled their money to do a monthly, general sponsorship.
