A non-profit, volunteer rehabilitation, rescue and sanctuary for animals

Article in Local Newspaper

Our local newspaper, The Concord Monitor, recently visited the farm and interviewed founder and Executive Director, Teresa Paradis.  We had a rescue situation around the holidays where some horses were taken from a not-so-great situation.  It was recently discovered that the rest of the animals were removed from that same property due to the continued, poor care.  Check out the details in the article (click on the post to see the link): https://www.concordmonitor.com/17-more-horses-seized-from-Langdon-rescue-23079000?fbclid=IwAR1dUX6Ml6hTL_bza4fPOaiS6WIeBWwJjXmqzwMvZItkiejU-EmtT8-pOeg

Winter is Here

How amazing are our volunteers!  We recently had our first BIG snow storm of the year and along with it came lots of ice and sub zero temperatures.  As anyone who has worked on a farm knows, the animals need to be fed, regardless of the weather conditions.  Our volunteers braved the storm and below zero temperatures to make sure all animals were fed on schedule and continued to have access to fresh water.  What an amazing team!!

As always, thank you to our amazing volunteer Scott for the incredibly eloquent and heart-warming articles he writes.  Check out the January 3rd issue of the Weirs Times for his most recent article (click on post to view the article):

Thank you NH Spirit Awards!

Tuesday night was an amazing evening as we celebrated the NH Spirit Awards at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, NH.  We were honored to be gifted with the award for Outstanding Volunteer Program Champion.  We often say that it is the volunteers who make the farm run on a day to day basis, who give their time selflessly to help the animals here, and it’s awesome to be recognized for it at a State awards ceremony.  Thank you!

LLLF Loves Our Mustangs

Here on the farm we love all animals, but over the years it may seem that we have a special fondness for mustangs.  In August two volunteers took on the task of training two wild mustangs adopted from the BLM.  They are coming along very well and will soon be ready to move on to their forever homes!  Pictured here is Tianna with the mustang she is training, a 3-year-old named Sir Captain Chester.

Spirit of NH Awards

We are so happy to announce that Live and Let Live has been selected for the 2018 New Hampshire Spirit Awards as the recipient of the Outstanding Program Champion Award!  We are extremely honored to receive this recognition from our great state of NH.  The ceremony will be at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, NH on November 13, 2018 and is open to the public.

LLLF is in the Weirs Times

One of our regular volunteers, Scott Philbrick, is an amazing writer.  So much so, that the Weirs Times publishes articles written by him!  He writes periodic updates on what is going on at Live and Let Live Farm’s Rescue and Sanctuary.  You can view his most recent article online by coping and pasting the following link into your web browser:  https://issuu.com/weirspublishing/docs/wtimes092018/10

2nd Annual Golf Fundraiser a Success!

Our wonderful volunteers are always coming up with new, amazing ways to raise money and awareness for the farm.  A few days ago, we had a perfect example of this selfless giving with the second annual golf tournament, aptly named: “Par for Hoof, Paws and Claws”, was held.  A lot of work goes into planning these events and we should never forget that it is done by the volunteers of the farm who donate their time to coordinating events such as this.  It was a long day, and as the money raised is being tallied it is obvious that their efforts paid off.  A wonderful time was had by all.  A BIG thank you to all to participated.  We hope to see you on the course next year!

Come Visit Us at the Deerfield Fair

Live and Let Live is once again going to have a booth at the Deerfield Fair in Deerfield, NH.  Please make sure you stop by to see what we’ve been up to and to meet our volunteers.  We love to talk to members of the public about what we do!
