Your Help Is Needed!

New Small Animal Rehabilitation and Adoption Center

2020 may be over, but its effects on our everyday lives still linger as we begin 2021. We are constantly reminded to maintain social distancing (six feet apart), limit gatherings, wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and most importantly, wear a mask that covers our noses and mouths.

The vaccine rollout offers hope for a return to normalcy; but in the meantime, the safest place to be is at home as much as possible. However, isolation can cause depression especially if you live alone; therefore, why not adopt a pet for companionship? Animals give unconditional love and can lift your spirits. Caring for a pet can take your mind off your loneliness because he/she is depending on you. Animals give our lives purpose, which we need as we continue to navigate the pandemic.

Remember that adoption is a lifetime commitment; therefore, be sure you have post-pandemic plans to care for your animal when you return to your normal routine. Live and Let Live Farm Rescue is always busy helping animals, but since the pandemic began, we have been inundated with requests. Owners who are ill or facing financial hardships have contacted us to surrender their animals. There has also been an increase in animals being abandoned without food and water on the streets and in empty buildings. Consequently, we are a revolving door constantly working at capacity in rehabilitating animals so that they can be adopted, thereby making room for others in dire situations.

To deal with the influx of animals needing our help, we are planning to expand and construct a rehabilitation/adoption building for small animals. However, we must first raise funds for Phase 1 of this project is estimated at $270,000. Phase 2, which includes building and supplying all internal needs of the building is estimated at $175,000. Bless you all for your support in helping animals during their greatest time of need.

Below is a sample design for the proposed new building.
