Help us restore our legal ability to help animals in need

Live and Let Live Farm’s Rescue and Sanctuary needs YOUR support to help us act on behalf of the animals who don’t have a voice of their own. For decades our farm has been a destination for animals who had nowhere else to go. Due to a situation with a state agency which has escalated over the past few years, the N.H. Department of Agriculture has taken away our pet vendor license. What does this mean? Animals stuck in limbo in foster situations, pregnant dogs and cats left in kill shelters in the south - the ripple effect will continue to grow the longer this case remains unresolved.

We know there are many questions pertaining to this situation so we have created this page to share information, news articles, and importantly, how you can help.

Updates:

  • Live and Let Live Farm Rescue was scheduled to have a hearing for the Pet Vendor license on October 29, 2024. The lawyer for Live and Let Live Farm requested discoveries of in-office emails and other documents, obtaining a few thousand of discovery information and some not-so-just emails were discovered within the Department of Agriculture; so, the farm’s lawyer applied/made a motion for the hearing officer to recuse herself as it is her job to remain neutral and just/fair for all parties in the hearings.

  • The court granted an injunction relief related to the filing on 8/2. Download and read the paperwork above

On Friday, August 9, 2024, volunteers and other friends of the farm gathered to picket outside the courthouse ahead of the hearing for the injunction filed on August 2.

A Message from Live and Let Live on the Current Situation:

It is the injunction on behalf of the horses and livestock license the Department of Agriculture  was forcing on us when it does not pertain to to Live and Let Live Farm Rescue & Sanctuary.  The Dept. of Agriculture tried to force me to fill out names of dealers and address we work with, which would have been a lie on an application we feel would not pertain to us, as Live and Let Live Farm Rescue does NOT work with any dealers.

The judge to this point agrees with us............ the main animals they are talking about are horses being sent to the food chain, as those are the only ones with a set adoption fee that they are questioning.

Anyhow, the judge ruled in our favor on the merits of the injunction and the Dept of Agri. retaliated against the judges decision by not issuing our new license for July 1, which goes for renewal each year for July 1 for all companion animal licensing. in which the state calls, Pet Vendor License.

We are fighting for the animals rescued by the volunteers of Live and Let Live Farm Rescue and those we can't help that are abandoned on the streets or euthanized in shelters because of the ego, unjust bullying by the Dept. of Agriculture.

Please contact the list of politicians that can help put pressure for action by the voice of the people, "THE PEOPLE'S JUSTICE SYSTEM "

Also please share and if you are able please donate to help.

Please watch for future stories in the Concord Monitor, and other media, as Live and Let Live Farm Rescue fights for the animals.

Thank you for your support.
